The Attack Scene in ‘The Day After’

I was in high school when the movie “The Day After” hit primetime, and the following three-minute scene made me nervous, to say the least:

If it’s not obvious from the clip, the movie showed what it would be like if the U.S. were attacked by Russia-propelled nuclear bombs.
