Nuclear Iran Threat Closer Than Ever Before
The reality of a nuclear Iran is becoming fact in light of the country's continued efforts toward its nuclear program. Just in terms of missile capabilities, it is clear that Iran has nuclear ambitions. Take for example their Shahab-3 missile, which has a range of approximately 1,200 miles. The Shahab-3 can reach areas throughout the Middle East, including Israel, and also parts of Southern Europe. Iran has been working to alter the payload space within the missile to accommodate a nuclear warhead. It is believed that a nuclear Iran also involves the acquisition of stage 2 long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the Eastern United States. They are working with North Korea to obtain these types of ballistic missiles. North Korea currently has long-range ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads that can reach areas along the West Coast of the United States. Once Iran is successful at developing their own 2 stage missiles with North Korea's help, they will become an even larger world threat. They won't stop there, however. Once they obtain 2 stage missiles, there will be no restraint on their part and they will seek to develop 3 stage missiles which could reach all areas within the U.S.

The reality of a nuclear Iran is one that is sobering. This is a rogue regime that has indicated numerous times its intent to eliminate Israel. It is also no secret how the leadership in Iran feels about the United States as well. They are dangerous and every effort needs to be examined to stop a nuclear Iran from coming online with nuclear missiles of any kind, whether it be short-range or intercontinental ballistic missiles.
